Dr. Scott Rooker is a general dentist who focuses on serving families and individuals in Redmond, OR and the greater central Oregon community. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UC San Francisco, worked as a research associate at Stanford University, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Rooker previously practiced in his hometown of Los Altos, CA and Vancouver, WA before choosing to make Central Oregon home and raise his family here.
Dr. Rooker is passionate about dentistry – has been involved in multiple study clubs and continuing education courses to advance his skills and knowledge. He focuses on conservative dentistry, which means trying to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible in an effort to make your teeth last as long as possible.
A major aspect of his vision for the practice is to treat all patients like family, creating lasting relationships with his patients. He feels this ensures that each patient will receive the best options and advice regarding their dental health.
When not at work, Dr. Rooker enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons — mountain biking, wakeboarding, snow skiing and working on cars. His dental practice is a long time dream come true, and we hope you will feel the warm environment immediately upon arrival!
Stefanie grew up on a small family ranch in western Oregon and moved to central Oregon three years ago. She graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2015 with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in 2016. Her focus during each appointment is to provide high quality care for her patients as well as educating patients on the importance of good oral hygiene. She strives to make your appointments as comfortable and positive as possible. She looks forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Rooker Family Dentistry.
Outside of work Stefanie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Nick and their two dogs out camping, hunting, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. She also enjoys spending time in the kitchen trying her hand in baked goods.
Heather is our office manager. She has been a dental office manager for 28 years. Heather is the receptionist, insurance coordinator, and bookkeeper, all in one! This means that when you call your experience will not be transferring from person to person, or listening and navigating through automated systems, in search of someone that can assist you with your needs, Heather will be here to help you!
Susan grew up in Hermiston, Oregon and has always loved Central Oregon. Even as a kid would enjoy coming to Central Oregon to go camping and fishing. She went to Portland State University and earned her Bachelors of Sciences Degree in Dental Hygiene from OHSU. She worked for Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas for 10 years before her family moved to Flagstaff, AZ. They came back to Oregon in 2017 and Redmond has been her happy home since.
She has 3 grown daughters and her 1st granddaughter. Besides spending time with her family you’ll find her kayaking, hiking and searching out beautiful waterfalls. While she’s worked part time as a dental hygienist for many years, she really enjoys providing a comfortable and thorough dental experience for her patients.
